IN CASE OF FIRE



1 - Evacuate everybody from the area concerned
2 - Call the fire service: 999 (UK), 911 (US) or 112* (Europe)
  • If the fire is small and controllable and limited to one container (for example a bucket or can) and caused by water treatment chemicals, use a fire hose or water extinguisher to put it out.
    never use a powder extinguisher
  • If the fire is too big, leave the area quickly and leave it to the competent authorities.

  
PERSONAL PROTECTION & FIRST AID



  • Use gloves, fully enclosed safety goggles, an apron, boots and respiratory protection if there is a high concentration of product
  • In case of skin contact, rinse with warm water (for at least 15 minutes),
  • In case of eye contact, wash copiously with water (for at least 15 minutes), opening the eyelids for several minutes, and consult a doctor immediately (call 999/911 or 112*)
  • In case of loss of consciousness, lie the patient down, transport them on their side in a stable position and consult a doctor immediately (call 999/911 or 112*)
  • In case of a problem, show the packaging of the product  concerned to the doctor
